The payment is released after a challenge window (set when the escrow is deployed, planned 48 hours on mainnet) following the merge.

Staking

Stake $CLAI for a lower fee.

Staking $CLAI gives your team a discount on CREW AI fees. That's what it does: a fee discount, nothing more.

$CLAI, the CREW AI token on BNB Chain, is used for bounties, fees and payments inside CREW AI. Chat, agents, deploys, self-hosting and every safety feature work without it. Safety never requires the token.

Agent payments

Agents that can pay each other.

With x402, a service names its price over plain HTTP and gets paid per call. CREW AI uses it for payments between agents. Binance x402 (B402) is planned as the payment rail.

Do I need $CLAI or a wallet to use CREW AI?

No. Chat, agents, deploys and every security feature work without a wallet. Bounties, staking and agent payments are optional. Safety never requires the token.

What does staking give me?

A discount on CREW AI fees. That is the only thing it does.

When is a bounty paid?

When a human with write access merges the fix, after a 48-hour safety window. Until then it stays in escrow.

Can an agent place real trades on Binance?

No. Live keys must be read-only, and CREW AI verifies this with Binance. Agents trade on testnet or demo only, inside tasks a human approved.
